The Challenge
In December 2026 I will be taking part in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Rowing Race. This race consists of around 40 boats of various sizes, attempting to row roughly 3000 miles from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, to Antigua, and I’ve chosen to face this task alone!
Why?
To put it very simply, I’ve always had a love of the outdoors but have only ever challenged myself so far mainly on land. I have spent a good amount of time in the mountains, from the Lake District and Snowdonia to the Alps and Himalayas, but now want to go much further out of my comfort zone and face my fears of deep water and the open ocean to both challenge myself and do my part for the two incredible charities I have chosen to support...
How can you help?
How can you help?
There are many ways to get involved! The success of this challenge is not only dependent on a safe and successful crossing, but also on all of you kindly supporting my mission in any way you can! This support may come in the form of a donation to my chosen charities in the form of sponsorship, a share on social media or even verbally shared in a random conversation. My point is, this row may be a solo challenge for me, but it there are many ways you can get involved, so stick around if you like and see how!
